In order to make it easier for dentists to distinguish various types of amalgam capsules, SIPRON-Amalgam capsules are supplied in different colors as green capsules (1 spill), blue capsules (2 spill), yellow capsules (3 spill) and red capsules (5 spill).
Indications:
- Lack of control of saliva: If the conditions are such that the flow of saliva cannot be stopped in the place where the tooth is being filled and the working environment cannot be dried, it is better to use amalgam to fill the cavity.
- In pediatric dentistry: In pediatric dentistry, it is difficult for the dentist to control saliva and control the child’s movements; since working with composite requires more precision, therefore, in such cases, amalgam is a better choice for restoration.
- Root canal surgery: In root canal surgery, when the end of the root is surgically opened and must be filled from the end because the environment is full of blood, the end of the root is filled with amalgam.
- Difficult access: areas of the mouth where access is difficult to work with composite.
